Our 2025 festival will be a live presentation of our selected films with film screenings, music performances, and CenterStage Conversations at different venues in the Nob Hill district of Albuquerque.  To learn more, check out our Venue page.

​​​HOW DO I BUY PASSES AND TICKETS?

Our Festival and Day passes are all-access to the Film Blocks, Center Stage Conversations, and After Parties. The difference between the two passes is that the Day Pass is valid only one day of your choosing. Get your festival passes here.

HOW DO I GET THE LATEST INFORMATION?

Sign up for our monthly newsletter and follow us on social media.  All social media links can be found on our home page and at the bottom of every website page. Special announcements, promotions, and giveaways are always shared on these platforms.

ARE THE FILMS RATED?

Many of our films have not yet been reviewed by the Motion Picture Association of America and therefore do not have an MPAA rating (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17). 

 

​We encourage our audience to read the film descriptions carefully before making a purchase. If you have questions about whether it is appropriate for those under 18 years of age to view, please contact us at info@afmxnm.com.​

Where can I purchase Festival Passes or Tickets?

• Online through our Festival Schedule and Ticketing Page.

• Through the AFMX team at Halflife* digital in Nob Hill.

• If available, individual tickets for film and panel events may be purchased at the door.

• You may pick up your Festival Pass at Halflife* digital.

Do I need to reserve a seat?

No, seating is first-come, first-served. A festival pass does not guarantee a seat, so please arrive early.

What do Festival Passes cover?

ALL ACCESS PASSES include the option to attend all Film Blocks, Center Stage Conversations, Live Music Events, and exclusive networking opportunities at the halflife* pass holder lounge. 

What do Day Passes cover?

DAY PASSES include the option to attend all Film Blocks, Center Stage Conversations, Live Music Events for the day you purchase a pass.

I'm a student and I heard there are free tickets. Is that true?

Our sponsors support a limited number of festival passes that are free to New Mexico students. You must be an active, currently enrolled student in a New Mexico education program. This is a first-come, first-served opportunity. Submit your name to our request list.

I am an educator and would like to bring my students to an event. How do I arrange this? 

Organize a class trip on Student Day to film screenings and CenterStage Conversations. Use this form to submit your request. Learn about other ways to encourage student engagement with our festival on our Education page.

At our Merchandise table at our premier Nob Hill venue, halflife* digital.

I was gifted a Festival Pass. What do I do now?

Great! The next thing you need to do is email us at info@afmxnm.com and alert us of who awarded your festival pass, the name you want to be presented on the pass, and the email you'd like the pass to be associated.

TRAVEL AND LODGING

How easy is it to get to the Festival?

Believe it or not, ALL of our events take place along the original Route 66, otherwise known as Central Avenue! 

• All After Party venues and Film Theaters are within walking distance of each other

• There is a direct bus route, Route #66, that travels on Central Ave. Here is the link for this bus, from Hotel Zazz to the Hilton Garden Inn.

Are there places to eat, drink, and grab a cup of coffee?

Absolutely!  This is one of the fantastic aspects of the Nob Hill District of Albuquerque. Close to the University of New Mexico, Nob Hill offers a variety of restaurants, coffee houses, cafes, and nightlife. Check out our Dining Page for a list of our favorite restaurants. ​​

Are there discounts through AFXM?
Yes. We are proud to offer discounted rates for selected hotels and motels. We also partner with our business community to offer discounts. Flash your Festival Badge at one of these participating businesses to receive a discount!  Each business offers different discounts so don’t be afraid to ask!

Is there an age limit to submit a pitch?
We love and encourage students 17 and older to submit their pitches. (You do not have to be a student to submit)

Can I watch the pitch panel if I haven't submitted a pitch? 
We encourage it!  This Center Stage Conversation is included in your Festival or Day Pass. It's $10 for an individual ticket.
