Launched in 2013 by Ivan Wiener—with the backing of Robert Redford and Sibylle Szaggars-Redford—AFMX now drives New Mexico’s creative economy. We bridge the gap between Hollywood pros and local talent, pumping millions into our local community. Year after year, FilmFreeway ranks us among the top 100 festivals worldwide.
We provide the tools and stages that filmmakers and musicians need to succeed. At its heart, AFMX celebrates how film and music live together—from the first note of a score to the final frame of a music video.
